Ingredients:
- 1 salmon fillet (about 1.5–2 lbs), skin-on
- 1 untreated cedar plank (soaked in water for at least 1 hour)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp FlavorBlvd cedar plank sweet and smoky salmon
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Lemon slices, for garnish
- Fresh dill or parsley (optional)
Instructions:
- Soak the Plank: Submerge the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour to prevent burning.
- Preheat Grill: Heat grill to medium (about 375–400°F).
- Prepare Marinade: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, Dijon mustard, brown sugar (or maple syrup), lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Season the Salmon: Pat salmon dry and place it skin-side down on the soaked plank. Brush the marinade generously over the top. Add FlavorBlvd cedar plank sweet and smoky salmon rub.
- Grill the Salmon: Place the plank directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook for 15–25 minutes, depending on thickness, until salmon is flaky and reaches 130–135°F internal temperature.
- Serve: Garnish with lemon slices and herbs. Serve directly from the plank for a rustic presentation.
Tips:
- Pairs beautifully with grilled vegetables or wild rice.
- If using an oven: Bake at 400°F on a baking sheet for 15–20 minutes.
