Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings drumettes & flats
  • 2 tbsp FlavorBlvd Honey Habanero Seasoning
  • tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder optional
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika optional
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or fresh lime juice
  • Salt to taste, optional
  • Fresh parsley or green onions garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Dry the wings thoroughly with paper towels (key for crispiness).
  • In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, FlavorBlvd Honey Habanero Seasoning, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Arrange wings in a single layer on the rack.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, flip, then bake another 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • While wings cook, make the glaze: melt butter in a saucepan, stir in honey and vinegar/lime juice. Warm gently.
  • Toss hot wings in the honey glaze or brush generously.
  • Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for extra caramelization (watch closely).

Notes

Chef Tips: Take It to the Next Level

  • Extra crispy: After seasoning, refrigerate wings uncovered for 2–4 hours before baking.
  • Heat control: Add a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper to the glaze for more fire.
  • Smoky finish: Grill wings for the last 5 minutes instead of broiling.
  • Party upgrade: Serve with a honey-lime ranch or mango yogurt dip.
  • Flavor bomb: Sprinkle a light dusting of Honey Habanero Seasoning right after glazing.

Wine Pairings

  • Off-Dry Riesling – cools the heat and boosts the honey notes
  • Gewürztraminer – aromatic and slightly sweet
  • Sparkling Rosé – refreshing with spicy wings

Cocktail Pairings

  • Spicy Margarita (jalapeño or habanero rim)
  • Honey Bourbon Smash
  • Pineapple Rum Punch
  • Classic Moscow Mule (ginger balances the heat)
