This Homemade Sleepy Time Tea is a gentle, soothing herbal blend designed to calm the mind and relax the body before bedtime. Made with calming chamomile, aromatic lavender, lemon balm, and peppermint, this natural tea supports a restful night’s sleep without any artificial ingredients. Sip it slowly in the evening and let nature ease you into peaceful slumber.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp dried chamomile flowers (calming and sleep-inducing)
  • 1/2 tsp dried lavender buds (relaxes the nervous system)
  • 1/2 tsp dried lemon balm (eases stress and anxiety)
  • 1/2 tsp dried peppermint leaves (aids digestion and relaxation)
  • 1 small slice of fresh ginger (optional for warmth and digestion)
  • 1 ½ cups hot water
  • Honey or maple syrup to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine all dried herbs (chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, peppermint) in a tea infuser or muslin bag.
  2. Place herbs in a mug or teapot and pour hot water (just below boiling) over them.
  3. Add fresh ginger if using.
  4. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes.
  5. Remove herbs, sweeten if desired, and sip slowly about 30–60 minutes before bed.

Tips:

  • For a stronger tea, double the herbs and steep up to 10 minutes.
  • Store your custom blend in an airtight jar for easy nightly use.
  • Avoid caffeinated teas or stimulants after dinner for best results.
